"I researched and had demos on six different CAM systems; Gibbs, MasterCAM, SurfCAM, Edgecam, EZ Feature Mill, and Pro Manufacturer. Of these, I found GibbsCAM to be the most attractive package for the price, and it appeared to be the easiest to work with. Support for CAD file sharing and multiple prototype revision change support was very important to us. We found that Gibbs read in about any file type available and it performed changes much quicker than I had seen with any other CAM system. …I would estimate that Gibbs is easily 30%-40% faster than the other packages I have seen and used previously, and it takes half the time to learn.
